Gift Books
Raising Readers gift book program strives to put books into the hands of children, especially children in families with low incomes. Gift books are distributed through collaboration with other Story County agencies, including the following:
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinics - serves all of Story County
- Mid-Iowa Community Action (MICA) Dental Clinc
- Youth and Shelter Services
- People Place, a family resource center of Lutheran Services in Iowa
- Heartland Area Education Agency, Region 11
- Department of Human Services, Story County
- Food Pantries throughout Story County
- Clothing Closets
- Habitat for Humanity
- Story County Empowerment
