Super K Transition to Kindergarten

Let’s make sure all our young super heroes are super ready for Kindergarten!

2019 Dates and Locations:

June 17-27 - Sawyer Elementary School, Ames (8:30 - 11:30 OR 12:15 - 3:15)

June 17-27 - Meeker Elementary School, Ames (8:30 - 11:30)

July 8-18 - Central Elementary School, Nevada (8:30 - 11:30 OR 11:45 - 2:45)

Children entering Kindergarten are eligible to participate in this free, literacy rich, 8-day program (Monday-Thursday). Students will participate in numerous literacy related activities as they work to become super friends, super listeners, super organizers, and super problem solvers. They will become familiar with the backpack routine, lunch tray procedures, opening milk cartons, and saying “goodbye” to families at the door. Each day students will be able to borrow a book from the lending library to take home. Students will receive a free backpack, school supplies, daily snacks, and lunch.
