Raising Readers in Story County

Reach Out and Read

RRSC adopted this evidence-based national model that makes early literacy an integral part of pediatric primary care. Doctors give books to children at every well-child check-up from 2 months to 5 years, and they encourage parents to read aloud with their children at home. Our county-wide program serves all families, and RRSC provides almost 10,000 books each year. The National Reach Out and Read site has information on milestones for early literacy.

Sponsorship opportunities are available.
