Playful Pages: Family Workshops

Play | Learn | Grow

Join us for story time, caregiver strategies, and collaborative activities that build language and literacy through family play! These hour-long programs are intended for 3-5 year olds and their families and are offered free of charge by Raising Readers in Story County, supported by BooSt Early Childhood Iowa. *Older children are welcome to engage with their younger siblings and an infant/toddler area is also available. 

The Playful Pages Workshop series is located at the North Grand Mall in Ames from 10:00-11:00 am on the third Saturday of each month.

Registration is now open for 2026!  Spots are limited.

 

Playful Pages: Outreach!

Same amazing program, at YOUR site! Reach your 3-5 year olds and their families during a celebration or literacy night.

 

We would love to take our show on the road for your families! This workshop would be a great addition to a literacy night, parent engagement, or an extra offering.

Please email our Kristi Mayo at director@raising-readers.org with two dates in mind. We offer Playful Pages as our staffing allows, so let us know what works best for you! Please book at least one month in advance.

Raising Readers:

• Facilitates workshops 
• Provides recruitment materials 
• Communicates with registered parties 
• Provides all materials including a free book for all children participating.
• Sets up and tears down 
• Collaborates with community partners
